Privacy policy

Evapo is operated by SmileCode. It is a separate product, but it runs on the same server as Folkpage and under its domain. No data passes between them.
What we process
- Your account: a public key, a random identifier and the day it was created.
- Encrypted messages until they are collected, at most 30 days.
- Encrypted photos and videos: deleted after everyone has seen them, at most after 7 days (stories after 24 hours).
- If you allow notifications, a push token.
We process this to run the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep no IP addresses with messages and no analytics.
Who else is involved
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) hosts the server and stores encrypted files. It sees your IP address, the time and the size class of each file you transfer.
- Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and Apple (APNs) deliver wake-ups without content.
Your rights
“Erase everything” in the app deletes your account and all of this immediately. We hold nothing that identifies you, so we cannot act on a request we cannot match to an account.

Evapo is for people aged 16 and over.
